How many sites have you seen where they have a blog or a news section, but the latest entry is several months old? A stale site is just as bad, or worse, than no site at all. You appear:

More than just your visitors, search engines also love to see that your site is active. Active sites mean more content and a greater chance that your company has people behind it rather than spam bots.
